Most of you reading this know that I used to shave my head for St. Baldrick's to raise money for childhood cancer research. While this may not be as big a commitment or sacrifice as shaving my head, my cross country team at William & Mary is doing a 5k run fundraiser to raise money for cancer research at VCU Massey Cancer Center.

Raising money for the fight against cancer is something I've always been involved in and something that hits close to home due to my brother, who is a two-time cancer survivor. He's lucky to be alive and I've been lucky to watch him grow into the healthy, normal 17-year old he is today. That wouldn't have been possible without someone who donated many years ago to help fund the research that saved my brother's life. I want others to have that same luck, which is why I'm reaching out to you all. Any donation, big or small, makes a difference. Thank you!
