Hello Friends!

I have accepted the Massey Challenge, presented by Apex Systems, a division of ASGN incorporated, because I want to see a world without cancer. No gift is too small! Every gift will save lives!

Many of my friends know that my mother died from ovarian cancer at the young age of 72. She received cutting edge and compassionate care from her doctors at VCU Massey Center, after her doctors at another practice said there was nothing more to be done. She had the gift of another year of life, love, and lots of joy with her family, thanks to VCU Massey.

VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center is working to save lives and find cures right here in Virginia.  To support their life-saving cancer research, I have accepted the Massey Challenge to fundraise and to give my miles meaning at the Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10k.

By fundraising for Massey, my 10k will have special meaning and honor those I love who are battling – or have battled cancer. Several close friends and family, young and not-as-young, have fought and conquered cancer! Funding for patient care and research will be critical to all of us at some point in our lives.
