In 2021, my dad was diagnosed with cancer as part of a routine physical. Very quickly he was put in contact with a team of medical professionals at VCU and received several rounds of chemo followed by a transplant and continued post-transplant care. After battling a very aggressive case of Myelodysplastic Syndrome he unfortunately lost the fight in October 2022.

Some of you may be visiting this page because you know me personally and the impact this had on my family, even if you never had the opportunity to meet my dad. He was a hardworking man who never gave up until his final breath. He knew no strangers, loved time spent on the water, and his stories were longer than life. As a daddy's girl I could tell you that if I had a million dollars to get another good day, I would, over and over again.

I know my story is one out of millions, cancer shows no mercy. Being a part of the Massey Alliance helps us give another family hopefully even one more good day or with their loved one, and that's a cause we can all get behind!

When you make a donation towards my fundraising goal, you join our team effort to support cancer research, honor those who have battled cancer and unite our community towards a cure. Will your dollar be the one that cures cancer?
