I am being bold, and I am dreaming big! I have accepted the Massey Challenge because I want to see a world without cancer.

Ten years ago, in January 2013, I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma and was treated at VCU Massey Cancer Center, receiving both chemo and radiation. I am extremely fortunate to say I am now almost 9 years in remission. I have since met many others diagnosed with cancer and have seen and experienced first hand the impact this horrible disease has both on those going through cancer and it's treatments but also on family and friends.

I had a wonderful experience at VCU Massey Cancer Center and now working at the Medical College of Virginia Foundation, I continue to see how Massey is committed to finding new ways to understand, prevent, detect and treat cancer. I have accepted the Massey Challenge to fundraise and to make my miles matter at the Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10k to support their life-saving cancer research.

By fundraising for Massey, my 10k will have special meaning and honor those I love who are battling – or have battled cancer.

Will you make a donation towards my fundraising goal or join my team? Let's work together to put cancer on the run!

Best - Amber
