I have lost too many friends and family members to cancer. And I have many other friends and family members living with and fighting cancer today. I have accepted the Massey Challenge because I want to see a world without cancer.
VCU Massey Cancer Center is working to save lives and find cures right here in Virginia, and, to support their life-saving cancer research, I have accepted the Massey Challenge to fundraise and to make my miles matter at the Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10k.
By fundraising for Massey, my 10k will have special meaning and honor those I love who are battling – or have battled cancer.
Will you make a donation towards my fundraising goal or join my team? Feel free to share your story and who you are making a donation in honor or memory off. I'll add their name(s) to my shirt and walk the 6.2 miles for them. Let's work together to put cancer on the run!
