Welcome back to many of you and thanks for checking this out if it's your first time! I do this for the people you see in this picture and many more.
This is year 13 for me so I'll make it quick. CANCER SUCKS! It hurts the people it touches as well as all the loved ones around them and I want it gone! The research IS working and the money we have raised IS making a difference, so we have to keep going! We promised Whitney that we would keep fighting when she couldn't do it anymore. I continue to fight in memory of Whitney Ferrell and my brother-in-law Joe Mitchell, and in honor of Sawyer Perkins who is still battling this awful disease right now. I may not see the end of cancer in my lifetime, but I am determined to do something in my lifetime to help make that happen in the future!
VCU Massey Cancer Center is working to save lives and find cures right here in Virginia, and, to support their life-saving cancer research, I have accepted the Massey Challenge to fundraise and to make my miles matter at the Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10k.
Please make a donation to my fundraising campaign. No amount is too small! We also invite you to join our team and help represent Team Whitney on March 28th. Let's work together to put cancer on the run!
Thanks so much!
