I have accepted the Massey Challenge because I want to see a world without cancer.
I was diagnosed with cancer in February 2017. Stage 3 melanoma. My mom was diagnosed right after me with breast cancer. After 2 surgeries I am NED (no evidence of disease). My mom is doing well also. My sister is also a cancer survivor! Massey helped all three of us and I want to give back for that reason.
VCU Massey Cancer Center is working to save lives and find cures right here in Virginia, and, to support their life-saving cancer research, I have accepted the Massey Challenge to fundraise and to make my miles matter at the Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10k.
By fundraising for Massey, my 10k will have special meaning. Giving back to Massey who saved me, my mom and my sister.
Will you make a donation towards my fundraising goal? Let's work together to put cancer on the run!
