Rouz Hashemi

I'm running the Ukrops 10K in 2017 even though I've never walked more than 10 feet to raise cancer funds. I'm putting myself through strenuous outdoor activity so please give money because sunlight hurts.

The money helps Massey support genetic cancer therapy research focused on genetic matching of cancer mutations and associated therapies.

Onyx Cancer is larger than this single event. It is supported by people around the world who help without recognition. Any help, offers of fundraising, and support would be genuinely welcome.

Lynn's Story:

On June 25, 2012, Lynn was diagnosed with terminal anaplastic astrocytoma (stage 3) at Virginia Commonwealth University – Medical College of Virginia where she was an alumni and an employee. Over the next year, she underwent tumor biopsy radiation, and chemotherapy. In March 2014, she transitioned to hospice care and remained until December 2015. Currently Lynn is under the supervision of her parents and her doctors at the Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina.

You two are very special to me. I'm sorry I can't do more right now in terms of donating. I am so proud of all you are doing, both in supporting research, and also making the most of each day. Thank you for reaching out! Sending lots of love! Jen
