Eff Jerry : Eff Cancer

Meghan Keogh

Meghan Keogh

Father's Day weekend has brought some startling news for our families over the past couple of years. On June 21, 2015, Smitty was diagnosed with a brain tumor (a.k.a. Jerry), and on June 22, 2016, Mike was diagnosed with colon cancer (a.k.a. Jerry's evil effing cousin). Little did we know just how important the VCU Massey Cancer Center would become in the lives of these two young fathers (brothers-in-law) and their families.

After completing their treatments at Massey, Mike and Smit are ready to move forward and enjoy everything life has to offer. We are so proud of their positive attitudes and perseverance thus far. But the fight is not over, and Massey will continue to play an integral part in their lives. We implore you to donate in support of vital research that will one day lead to a world without cancer.

The best part is, thanks to Massey’s corporate partners, 100 percent of every dollar you donate goes directly to supporting Massey’s lifesaving mission.

Will your dollar be the one that cures cancer?

We are so grateful for all of your love and support along the way. Thank you!
